Senior Buyer - Women Textile Heritage (m/f/d)

As the Senior Buyer for the Women's Heritage category, you are leading and developing a high performing team of three people, creating new and innovative ways to connect people and fashion whilst delivering strong results. You will be directly reporting into the Team Lead Buying.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED

• As the Senior Buyer you shape the short and long term strategy for Heritage, taking into account the Zalando strategy, your customer profile, trends and competitive landscape. You are fluent in commanding your KPIs and role model collaboration with the senior merchandiser, steering the seasonal budget and OTB to monitor the performance of your unit and take action accordingly
• You will be responsible for the creative direction of your business unit on a seasonal basis, bringing with your entrepreneurial mindset exclusive ranges and collaborations to live that are best in class
• You drive key partner strategy and have direct ownership for top accounts in your portfolio, directing the acquisition of new brands, negotiating the best terms for Zalando and identifying all levers for growth. You will manage key strategic brands and relationships across both wholesale and platform business models
• You will work cross functionally to drive sales and maximize profit and exchanging with other departments like Content, Logistics, Marketing and Production are key to your work, ensuring that we act in line with the whole organization
• You will lead, develop and nurture a high performing team of 3 (1 Buyer, 1Junior Buyer and 1 Assistant Buyer). You display strong leadership skills and are a role model for the Zalando key values

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Degree in business, economics or fashion management and 4+ years professional experience in experience in working for a fast paced e-commerce retailing business working within an international multi brand environment
• A strong leader who is passionate about developing people, guiding their career and acting as a role model for the wider women textile buying team
• Your excellent analytical skills put you on top of the class and you love working with numbers to validate your gut instinct buying decisions and take risks to achieve your unit plan
• Negotiation is in your blood, you have mastered both written and spoken negotiations beautifully. You display strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, both with internal and external stakeholders
• Clear knowledge and understanding of both the heritage brand landscape within Europe, including platform and marketplace models
